Our Activities

Turtle Conservation
Located at the beautiful Saba beach, Blahbatuh district-Gianyar regency, this sea turtle conservation has been running under the supervision of Saba village administration since 2013. It is a self-funded organization which relies on visitor’s donations to survive. We offer educational experiences which include a 30 minutes presentation about sea turtles, site tour (incubation area and quarantine tanks), baby turtle release and some optional volunteer work (cleaning the tanks, beach clean-up).
Visitors may choose the activities they like and design their own program especially if they come in a group. We will be more than happy to facilitate their needs.

Dance lessons
When it comes to art and culture Saba village is known as Legong Saba. It is a classical legong dance formed in the village by a local artist in the mid 1920s. Gianyar regency where Saba village is located is a region of art where you can also find the famous Ubud village not too far from Saba. The dance lessons itself is a two hours program providing the basic guidance of Balinese dances in general by a professional dancer and an english instructor. We too welcome visitors who want to learn a particular dance form with a special package.

Apiculture/ Bee Farm
Still at Saba village Gianyar, there is a small apiculture or some call it bee farm initiated by a local villager. Though it’s small and simple, this can be a very unique experience for tourists. A presentation about bees will start the program including a chance to taste different kinds of honey before inspecting the bee houses. The most popular local endemics are apis cerana and trigona which also can be found in the wild around the island. In the end, visitors are welcome to purchase some pure honey available at the little store in the house.

Balinese Dinner
An authentically set Balinese styled dinner at a Balinese compound with retro-ambience decoration. Unique wooden cutleries and dinner set are used on top of a beautiful wooden table with traditional clay water pot. A variety of traditional Balinese cuisines are on the menu that includes sautéed local tilapia with Balinese seasoning and fish meatballs, sates and vegetables. All dishes served with rice. The tranquility of the surrounding will make it even more romantic and enjoyable.
